ok so funny story

my mom likes to work on her garden, and we have this cat statue in the garden, but its really old and kind of beaten up a lot.

so, today my mom bought a new “cat statue” that she had spotted at a store. when i get home from school, she tells me about it, and offers to let me go see it (it was in the garage.)

i go out to see it, and its an interesting granite statue, its a normal asian -style animal statue, but i notice the animal was sculpted to have two round, strange feet looking things poking out from under it. my mom starts talking about when she got it. i ask her if shes certain its a cat, and she says she isnt certain, but it looks like a cat. i cant even tell her that i’ve noticed it has both front and back legs sculpted on the sides of it, theres only one possible explanation at this point. she is quite amused to learn that its actually a tanuki, and what looked like feet at first glance, were actually its testicals.
